Womens Sheds are supportive spaces where women of all ages and backgrounds, come together to share skills, spark creativity and nurture personal growth. Whether it’s learning something new, joining a craft session or simply enjoying a cup of tea and good conversation, every Shed is a place to belong.

At the heart of every Women’s Shed is a sense of safety, friendship and inclusion. It’s a place where women can be themselves, free from judgment, full of encouragement.

About Women's Sheds of Ireland

In 2024, a dedicated Womens Sheds Of Ireland (WSOI) committee was established. A group of women from across the country who are helping to shape the structure, voice and future of the women’s sheds movement.

WSOI represents a significant step forward in uniting women’s sheds under one supportive network and ensuring women’s voices are heard at local and national levels.

Each province also has a forum. Leinster, Munster, Connaught and Ulster. These forums were established to connect and support sheds in each province. WSOI information can be filtered down through these forums and vice versa.

Official launch/celebration of WSOI

The official launch of Women’s sheds of Ireland will be held in Tullamore, Co. Offaly on International Women’s Day, 8th March, 2026.

With guest speakers, sheds from around the country showcasing their sheds, shopping, entertainment and a fashion show, it is going to be a fantastic day and a very important one for women and women’s sheds in Ireland.
